One game that is regrettably still missing from that list is Prey, which turned out to be sort of a sleeper hit in 2017. In addition to Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, the publisher has included various means of support for the console in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, as well as The Evil Within 2 and The Elder Scrolls Online. Adding in some 4K texture mods should further add to the atmosphere.īethesda has been an early supporter of the Xbox One X with nearly its entire lineup of recent titles. Still, with 4K support, both titles should look much sharper.
Notably, both updates lack support for HDR, so don't expect any major bumps in contrast in either game.
And while the games won't be receiving all of the same bells and whistles we've seen from newer titles on Xbox One X, they're still getting a hefty resolution bump, and more in the case of Fallout 4. Following recent indications that the updates were just around the corner, Bethesda has announced that the Xbox One X enhanced patches for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition are now available.
